Snapdragon 735 will receive 5G-modem
- AIgnoring the growing interest in 5G networks for chip manufacturers is simply unaffordable luxury. One of the industry leaders, Qualcomm, is preparing its first chip with an integrated 5G modem. According to “SuggestPhone”, a new platform is being actively developed - Snapdragon 735, which will be the first of the entire manufacturer’s line to receive a modem for networks of the fifth generation.
According to preliminary data, the release of the chip can be expected at the end of this year. It will be made according to 7-nm standards and will relate to a mid-level platform. The chip will acquire two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores at 2.9 and 2.4 GHz, as well as six less powerful Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8 GHz.
Recall, quite recently the announcement of a new Qualcomm chipset - Snapdragon 730.
