App Store may delete WhatsApp for gross misconduct

The latest update to its privacy policy could bring big problems to messenger WhatsApp. According to Apple Scope, no app has the right to require any action to gain access to content, which is essentially what is happening.

In mid-May, the messenger's new privacy policy went into effect. According to the new rules, refusing to accept the rules could result in a restriction of functionality. That is, the user will be forbidden to make calls and type messages, in addition, the list of contacts will not be available.

Pressure on the user is expressly prohibited by the rules of the App Store, which means that the messenger may be subject to blocking and subsequent removal from the store. By the way, according to the new rules, the app can send users' confidential data, including information on transactions and phone numbers, to Facebook servers.
