Google secretly tracks the location of users even with GPS off

-
As a result of an investigation conducted by Princeton University with the Associated Press, it turned out a rather curious feature of Google's mobile services - some of them monitor the movements of users without asking their consent.
Even when looking at the weather forecast or by searching for information on the Internet, the information about your geolocation is automatically recorded in the account. And this happens when you prohibit the storage of location information and when GPS is off. It is noted that tracking can only be disabled by carefully reviewing all the settings of your Google Account, especially the "Location History" and "Search History and Applications" sections.
Apparently, all these difficulties with the disconnection of geolocation are related to Google's desire to increase advertising revenue.
