Intel will not produce 5G modems

Despite some work done by the 5G modem development team, Intel decided to shut down the program. The manual concluded that the release of modems for networks of the fifth generation is currently not economically feasible.
“We were able to develop a serious portfolio of intelligent products that can be used in a wide range of 5G devices,” the company said in a statement.
Apparently, Intel will continue to work on the Internet of things devices and computer technologies. The management of the company will announce its position on strategic issues in more detail at a special conference to be held on April 25.
