Meizu was on the verge of releasing the first frameless with a retractable front-end

Last summer, Vivo made a real revolution by creating the world's first “real” frameless smartphone with a front-facing camera leaving the case. However, back in 2017, Blue Charm, which is part of the Meizu holding, could have presented its counterpart, but for some reason it was decided to freeze the project.
In a recent interview, former company vice president Lee Nan admitted that Blue Charm was one step away from selling the first frameless, but in the end the project did not reach mass production. A top manager recalls that the device should have received an 8-millimeter case, leaving the front-facing camera and a price of under $ 500.
Lee Nan admits that abandoning the project has become one of the company's biggest mistakes and undoubtedly a missed opportunity.
