The production of sensors today is the main and most profitable area of work for the Japanese brand Sony. Therefore, it is not surprising that the company's factories operate at full capacity. In the near future, Sony is going to introduce two new developments in the field of sensors for smartphone cameras. These are the IMX689 and IMX708. But the most interesting thing is that even an unannounced sensor will appear in the new OPPO Find X2 model.
Apparently, IMX689 is an improved version of the 64-megapixel IMX686 sensor. As for the IMX708, then, according to rumors, the sensor will be 48-megapixel and will receive an aperture of f / 1.7. OPPO will be the first manufacturer to use the latest sensors in their smartphones. Specifically for the Chinese manufacturer, the Japanese developer created a special version of the product with revolutionary 2x2 On-Chip Lens technology for instant focus.
The exact date of the announcement of OPPO Find X2 was not disclosed, but, apparently, the wait was not long at all.
