Apple asks customers not to glue the MacBook camera to avoid breakage

Some gadget owners are so afraid of surveillance that they do everything possible and impossible to protect themselves from it. In particular, it is not uncommon for such users to tape webcams on their devices with foreign objects such as curtains or overlays. But such manipulations can harm gadgets.
On the eve of Apple asked customers not to use overlays on the camera lens, if possible.
"Mounting the pads on the camera can cause the Mac to break when it closes. The gap between the keyboard and the screen is quite small, so you can easily damage it. Closing the pad will prevent many functions and sensors from working properly," it says.
Apple recommends taking the pads off before closing the Mac cover or using accessories that are no thicker than paper. You can also monitor the camera's performance by watching the LED light burn.
