Due to the decline in demand for smartphones, many mobile device manufacturers have begun to search for new lines of business. Chinese Xiaomi, for example, is going to reorient itself to work with IoT devices and to pay more attention to developments in the field of artificial intelligence.
In an interview with Bloomberg journalists, the head of Xiaomi Lei Jun said that his company was beginning active work in the AIoT field. Thus, he stressed that attempts will be made to combine IoT systems and AI machine intelligence. It is already known that about 1.5 billion dollars will be invested in this promising area within five years.
In addition, Lei Jun hopes that with the advent of branded devices with 5G support, the demand for products will rise again.
