Google removes outdated applications from Google Play
- ABack at the end of the year before last, Google representatives reported on a major “purge” that their corporate app store would undergo. Recently, the details became known.
So, on August 1, 32-bit programs and applications will no longer appear on Google Play for smartphones with 64-bit processors, and therefore by this time all new applications, as well as updates for old software, should be converted to 64-bit. Google makes an exception only for several categories of applications: for games based on Unity, for programs written for Android TV and Wear OS, as well as software for Android 9.0 and newer versions.
By the way, on smartphones with 32-bit processors, it will be possible to continue using 32-bit applications and they will be shown on Google Play as if nothing had happened.
