- AUnpleasant news for all users of one of the oldest and most respected messengers arrived the day before. It became known that the leadership of BlackBerry Messenger decided after 14 years to close its free user version of the program, leaving only the paid corporate version.
“We are proud of what we have been able to achieve today. Unfortunately, most of our customers eventually chose other platforms, and new users failed to attract. We are sad to announce that we are shutting down the messenger and moving on, ”the statement says.
Further only the paid version will continue to function, the free version will cease to exist on May 31.
