In the field of testing the shooting quality of smartphones, the DxOMark photo laboratory is one of the most respected, and its verdict is recognized by experts around the world. On the eve it became known that the algorithms for determining the quality of shooting in the near future will be changed. The advent of a large number of smartphones with multiple cameras predetermined the need to refine existing quality assessment techniques.
New camera tests, in addition to standard studies of exposure, glare, color, noise and detail, will now include a test of the capabilities of the “night” shooting mode, as well as an assessment of the image coverage angle. Separately, the ability to shoot wide-angle photographs will be evaluated.
