Samsung refused to use modified ARM cores in Exynos chips

-
In recent years, a small research center was located in Texas, where 300 Samsung employees worked on modifications of the ARM cores for Exynos proprietary processors. Apparently, the leadership of the technology giant considered that the use of modified cores does not give a tangible effect in terms of performance and decided to close the center. From January 1 of next year, the staff of researchers at the Texas Research Center will be disbanded.
According to the representative of the South Korean company Michelle Glaze, such a step was forced, because with the help of a modification of the cores, the lag behind Qualcomm in energy efficiency and performance could not be won. Now Samsung will try to use the original ARM cores.
As for the graphics of Exynos processors, until recently they used ARM technologies, but Samsung plans to abandon them in favor of AMD.
