At the end of November, the Taiwanese company MediaTek introduced a 5G-enabled chip, and although it was not very popular, its elder brother, Dimensity 1000+, was introduced the day before. Its main feature was the possibility of simultaneous operation of two sim cards in a new generation network - this option has not yet been implemented by anyone.
In fact, the chip has not received much changes compared to its predecessor, the modernization has touched the gaming component of the device. The chip is still composed of four cores Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A77. At the same time, the novelty already works with a screen frequency of 144 Hz and supports MiraVision and MiraEngine technologies that improve image quality.
An important feature of the chip is the automatic switching between high and low bandwidth modes, which favorably affects power consumption, as well as between 4G and 5G networks.
According to rumors, the chip will find application in one of the new iQOO smartphones.
